Nguyen Thi Huong

PERSONAL PROFILE

Dr Huong Nguyen completed PhD at Flinders, focusing on gender and women’s studies and currently working as Academic teaching and researching staff at Flinders University and Business Development Manager at Adelaide Education Group.  Huong is experienced in working collaboratively with businesses, government organizations, and the private sectors in international development and social change, gender equality and dignified work, Indigenous and ethnic minority, and social justice in the last two decades. She has worked with government agencies, INGOs, UN agencies and Universities in Vietnam and has been involved in a variety of work in the Mekong region and Australia.   

She worked as a Country Representative of CWS America, Program Team Leader at CARE International, a program coordinator and a Secretary to the Vietnam Women’s Union, all in Vietnam. Huong also worked at Flinders University and Adelaide International Education Group in Australia. 

Along with the PhD, Huong holds a master’s degree in international development and social change in America in 2013 on top of her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in law in Vietnam.
